Nude and blush-toned bridal shoes you can wear again and again, after you’ve tied the knot.
The shoes you wear on your wedding day should be incredibly special but are you really going to wear them just once – and then hide them away forever, wrapped in tissue paper in a box at the back of your wardrobe?
We thought about this when we were putting together our new Di by Diane Hassall collection of designer bridal footwear. Using chalky soft nude suede and powdery blush coloured silk, we want you brides to buy a pair of these beauties as an investment not only to wear on your wedding day, to make you feel a million dollars, but also to wear again and again with any outfit, smart or casual, for many years after you’ve celebrated your first wedding anniversary!
Nude and blush-coloured shoes are trending strongly for summer 2017 – just look at images from New York Fashion Week! At Di by Diane Hassall, we’re really glad to hear it as our new collection reflects this trend perfectly.
As any fashion editor will tell you, nude-toned shoes go with everything – from your wedding gown to cocktail dresses, workwear and suits for the office or ripped jeans and a t-shirt.
Nude or blush-coloured shoes quietly state ‘classy’, whatever you choose to wear them with and give the effect of lengthening your legs – avoiding the shortening, full-stop effect you get by wearing a pair of dark coloured shoes with an outfit, especially if it’s in pale coloured fabric.
Keeping your wedding dress to pass on as an heirloom is one thing – for a daughter to wear one day, perhaps… But many brides these days have their gown dyed or altered to wear again, to make the most of their investment in a one-off luxury item – so why not do the same with your shoes? If you choose a beautiful, handmade pair from the Di by Diane Hassall collection, you’ll be able to wear them again and again, reliving the joy and memories of of your big day every time you put them on!
The new Di by Diane Hassall collection of bridal footwear has been cleverly designed with this wear-them-again ethos in mind.
Here, Di has picked her top five favourite wedding shoes from the new Di by Diane Hassall collection and gives you some useful tips for what to wear them with, well after your wedding day.
Di’s Top Five ‘wear-them-after-the-wedding’ shoes:
Jessica – a stylish, two-bar mid heel mule in soft chalky nude suede. Wear with floral summer dresses or skinny jeans or with a black jumpsuit for the evening.
Waterlily – another plain suede shoe with an open toe, to show off your latest pedicure, and a thin suede lace tie – perfect with a floaty summer dress, a straight denim skirt or capri pants and a T-shirt for a more casual look.
Pastelle – a high-heeled platform shoe, covered in delicate lace – looks fabulous with skinny jeans or a knee length belted shirt dress.
Honey – a high-heeled lace covered shoe with an ankle strap – pure glamour with cropwedding shoe ped skinny jeans or a mini skirt.
Matilda – a lower, chunkier-heeled Mary-Jane with a classic instep strap, in subtle lace covered silk – also look great with a mini but also with a midi length skirt or dress. Also good with work wear – trouser suits or knee-length skirt suits.
