Comfort and Joy

1st May 2018

So, you’ve made it to your wedding day! Your hair, nails and makeup look perfect and the dress makes you feel more gorgeous than you’ve ever felt in your life. Everything is good to go, and your dad is waiting patiently in the car outside to get you to the church on time.

Putting on your wedding shoes will probably be one of the last things you do before you head off for the wedding venue – apart from having one last look in the mirror and taking a big, deep breath!

It’s going to be a joyful day but long one and you’ll be standing up, walking around and dancing way into the small hours. If you’re still at the planning stage of your wedding, choosing your dress and the perfect shoes to go with it will be at the top of your list of things to do, so let’s talk style AND comfort and why choosing a pair of Di Hassall wedding shoes should be at the top of that list.

It’s a thing these days to don skyscraper heels for most special events where you want to feel utterly fabulous – but it’s also become the norm to sneak a pair of sensible flats  into your handbag, to change into later when the killer heels actually do feel like they’re killing you! With a pair of Di Hassall shoes, that just won’t be necessary. Here’s why:

Di’s shoes come in a variety of heel heights but more importantly, high or low, they’re so beautifully made, using the highest quality materials, that there’s no way they’ll feel uncomfortable and you’ll be able to wear them all day with no worries.

Di uses the softest kid leather to line her shoes and the insides are cleverly padded to give gentle support where it’s most needed. Depending on the heel height, each shoe is designed differently to take in to account the pressure points the foot creates inside the shoe. Leather has natural elasticity and absorbency which means Di’s shoes will gently mould and stretch to fit your own foot shape naturally and quickly.

Di also uses ankle straps, laces and ribbons in her designs – these not only look stunning, they also provide essential extra support for your feet.

Di’s philosophy is that you should carry on wearing your wedding shoes after your big day and if they’re comfortable enough to wear non-stop on your wedding day, there’s no reason why you can’t wear them out for dinner or to a party, with your favourite jeans or a little cocktail dress, after you’re married.

It is important to choose your shoes early-on in the process of organising your wedding outfit so that you can wear them a few times and get used to walking and standing in them well before your big day – advice any sensible bride-to-be should take.

But Di Hassall’s bridal shoes are so beautifully made they’ll feel like a second skin straight away and will be a joy to wear throughout your big day – from the moment you walk up the aisle until you’ve danced the night away, thrown the bouquet and you’re finally heading off for your honeymoon holiday – where you can wear your flats and flip flops to your heart’s content!
